ABOUT ANNE MATHEWS

After retiring I took a B.A. in Fine Art at York St. John University, which I had been looking forward to for a while. I now live in Derbyshire,
and am lucky enough to have a small studio attached to the house.

I work mainly in oil, but also acrylic and ink.  Printing with a press is something I have developed within the last four years.  I often combine several of these elements.

  In a further attempt to stave off mental atrophy, my subjects range from still
life, through landscape and work with a strong political and social aspect,
to complete abstracts.
